This is not a typical church concert. It is a carefully crafted evening of sacred music, live orchestration, and communal worship — designed to move you, regardless of where you come from or which church you attend.
The tagline says it simply: Njoo Ulivyo — Come as you are. No pretense. Just music, spirit, and presence.

Shofar

We are Shofar — a family of passionate musicians devoted to inspiring worship and sharing the love of Christ through song. Discover our journey, join our mission, and be part of a melody that resonates with purpose.
Named after the sacred horn used to call the Israelites to worship, Shofar's mandate has remained light-spirited and spiritually anchored since 2013. Its sole role is bringing people to worship the true God, the creator of the universe, and reminding them of Christ's return.
As the principal guest choir of Tumwimbie Bwana, Shofar anchors the concert with soaring vocal arrangements, profound four-part dynamics, and inspirational anthems that have touched hearts across East Africa and beyond.

Mwimbaji Bora wa Injili — Best Male Gospel Artist
Tanzania's Best Male Gospel Artist, Barrett Mapunda's journey is a testimony of God's grace, purpose and faithfulness. Music became his ministry at age five, when he first sang Amazing Grace — born in Dar es Salaam to musically gifted parents who met in a church choir.
A veteran of gospel groups including Busy Bee Jr., The Vocapella Tz and The Voice Tz, he now serves as a solo artist blending a cappella, Christian gospel and Southern gospel. He has ministered across East Africa and beyond — with The Way of Hope Rwanda, Spring of Life Tanzania, Called to Serve USA and The Humbled Tz — and in Kenya, Rwanda and DR Congo.
Beyond the stage, Barrett mentors Tanzania's next generation of gospel artists and founded the Just For Me Foundation, an NGO supporting children with special needs and vulnerable communities — over 5,000 lives touched through initiatives including support for the Ocean Road Cancer Institute.

The host choir and heartbeat of Tumwimbie Bwana. Sakina Adventist Choir has spent over 15 years cultivating a sound that transcends denomination — rich, classical choral tradition rooted in East African worship.
With 40 dedicated choristers, Sakina's ministry delivers intricate four-part polyphony, majestic sacred hymns, and soul-stirring Swahili spiritual compositions designed to bring believers together in reverence and joy.
Tumwimbie Bwana represents their most ambitious gathering to date, uniting sacred choirs under one roof for an unforgettable night of praise and spiritual renewal.
